What is freight bill factoring?
Freight bill factoring is a process whereby a trucking company "sells" their invoices/bills of lading to a company at a discount. The factoring company pays them immediately and then takes over the collection process.
What are the benefits of factoring?
Factoring provides a source of quick cash flow to give your business the funds it needs for growth or ongoing operational costs. East Valley Capital specializes in the trucking industry and provides credit and collection services on a collective basis at a fraction of the costs incurred by an individual carrier.
How does freight bill factoring work?
Freight bill factoring is easy to use and widely accepted in the transportation industry. Here is how it works:
  1. You submit a freight bill that you want to finance to us.
  2. We advance you up to 100% of the invoice/bill of lading.
  3. We handle all collection activities.
  4. Once the freight bill is paid, we rebate the remaining reserves, less the discount rate.
How do I start factoring?
Call us today at 480-635-8539 and we'll get you started immediately.
Why should I use a factoring service?
Freight bill factoring allows you to get cash without creating any debt. There are other options such as a bank loan, however there are significant and important differences between the two. Obtaining a bank loan may prohibit you from receiving additional loans for trucks, trailers, or other necessary items.

With freight factoring, the decision to provide you with money is based on the credit worthiness of your freight customers, not your credit. In addition, a freight bill factor will help with credit checks and collections along with some back office support.
How much will it cost?
East Valley Capital will design a rate plan customized to fit your business needs. We do not have a standard rate for all clients.
Do you charge set-up fees, credit check fees, or other hidden fees?
No, East Valley Capital does not charge for set-up, credit checks, or any other hidden fees. We pride ourselves on being simple and transparent.
Isn't factoring only for “troubled carriers”?
No. Trucking companies require cash and lots of it. Consequently, banks and other traditional lenders will not provide the capacity to fund your business.
Do you offer a Fuel Card?
Yes, we do have a fuel card. As an East Valley Capital client, you'll have access to exceptional fuel discounts and rebates at more than 6,000 truck stops in North America, including all major chains, thousands of independents, and cardlock locations. All clients on the fuel card also have access to tire and maintenance and roadside assistance discounts.
What if I decide factoring isn't for me?
East Valley Capital does not lock you into long term contracts or require a minimum monthly volume. We are here to help your business, not hurt it. If you ever want to cancel your contract, all we ask is that you give us written notice. We must collect all outstanding receivables prior to full cancellation. Once your outstanding balance is at zero, a release letter is sent to you.
What services does East Valley Capital provide?
Not only do we factor freight bills, we manage your portfolio from bill receipt all the way to cash application. East Valley Capital offers collections, credit, and account management to make your business run smoothly and effectively.
What does Recourse & Non-Recourse mean?
Recourse and non-recourse refers to who assumes the risk of nonpayment. A recourse arrangement means that if for any reason your customer does not pay an invoice, you are responsible for buying it back from the factor. A non-recourse arrangement means that if your customer does not pay an invoice because they are financially unable to, the factor will take the loss, not you.
Who follows up with my customers to collect on invoices?
We do! Our collection efforts assure payment is received as quickly as possible. This saves you the time and expense of costly collection efforts.
Am I required to factor all of my invoices?
No. You choose the customers you want to factor.
What happens if I receive a check from my customer/broker after factoring the invoice with you?
In the event that a customer mistakenly sends a check or makes an automatic payment to your account, the check or payment must be immediately forwarded directly to us. You should never deposit checks from any customer/debtor that you factor with us.
What if I already factor through another factoring service?
No problem. We will work with your current factoring service to assure a smooth buyout and transition process for open invoices on their books at the time.
Can I have more than one factoring company?
No factoring company will allow this. The reason is that the factoring company must hold first lien position on your receivables. This is simply protecting our interests on the loads we have purchased.
How do I sign up, and when can I start?
We will need a signed and completed copy of our application and a legible copy of your driver's license. We will also need a copy of your cargo and liability insurance, FMCSA Authority Letter, and your "filed" organizational documents (if your company is not a sole proprietorship or general partnership), and list of your customers or a current detailed aging report. We perform a UCC search to ensure no other factor or bank has tied up your accounts. We then file our financing statement to protect our interest in the company's accounts. Depending on how quickly you provide the necessary information will determine how soon we can produce the factoring contract. Once we receive back the signed contract and other required forms, the funding process is ready to begin. Yes, you can fax the signed contract and forms back to us to get the funding process started even faster. It's very possible we could fund you the same day you contact us about using our services.
How long does it take to get funded?
According to industry statistics the average timeframe in which freight invoices are collected is 48 days. That is a long time to wait to be paid. With your freight bills in our hands, East Valley Capital will provide same day funding.
